Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

The short version. PROCURE is a work of satire run by SA Rejects. The only personal information we actually collect is what you choose to give us: your email and the idea you post. We do not sell it, we do not track you across the web, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

1. Who we are

PROCURE (procuretm.com) is a satirical project operated by SA Rejects, a brand of Futures Group (Pty) Ltd. We are the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

2. What we collect

We only collect information you voluntarily provide. There is nothing to log in to, and we do not build hidden profiles of you.

When you post to the ideas wall or ask for a hand

"I need a hand" is private

If you ask for a hand instead of posting publicly, the category you pick and the message you write are kept private. They are read by a real person on our team so we can reply and help, and they are never published on the wall, never sold, and never shared for marketing. Your email is used only to get back to you.

The satirical tools collect nothing

The InvoiceCloak and AlignmentScore generators run entirely in your browser. The figures you type into them are never sent to us or stored anywhere. They are specimens with no legal or financial validity.

Technical information

Our hosting provider may log standard request data (such as your IP address and browser type) for security and to keep the site running. We load fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when the page loads. We do not use this to identify or profile you.

3. How we use your information

We process your information based on your consent (you chose to submit it) and our legitimate interest in running and securing the project.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever. We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the project:

Access to the database is locked down with row-level security, so the public can only ever read what is meant to be public (approved ideas). Email addresses and private help requests stay private. These providers only access what they need to perform their service. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.

Your email and ideas may be shared with the wider SA Rejects platform, operated by the same company, to bring you into the community. Your email address is never displayed publicly on the wall.

5. International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside South Africa. Where this happens, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest and recognised contractual protections.

6. How long we keep it

We may keep limited information longer where the law requires it or to resolve a dispute.

7. Your rights under POPIA

As a data subject you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights

8. Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across the web. The site uses your browser's local storage only to remember basic state on the page. We do not run third-party analytics that profile you.

9. Children

PROCURE is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

10. Data breaches

If a breach occurs that poses a real risk to you, we will notify affected users and the Information Regulator as required, and take immediate steps to contain it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above will always reflect the current version.
