1. Who we are
PROCURE (procuretm.com) is a satirical project operated by SA Rejects, a brand of Futures Group (Pty) Ltd. We are the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

2. What we collect
We only collect information you voluntarily provide. There is nothing to log in to, and we do not build hidden profiles of you.
When you post to the ideas wall or ask for a hand
- The idea or message you write, and the category you select
- A display name, only if you choose to "sign it" (otherwise your post is anonymous)
- Your email address, if you provide one
"I need a hand" is private
If you ask for a hand instead of posting publicly, the category you pick and the message you write are kept private. They are read by a real person on our team so we can reply and help, and they are never published on the wall, never sold, and never shared for marketing. Your email is used only to get back to you.
The satirical tools collect nothing
The InvoiceCloak and AlignmentScore generators run entirely in your browser. The figures you type into them are never sent to us or stored anywhere. They are specimens with no legal or financial validity.
Technical information
Our hosting provider may log standard request data (such as your IP address and browser type) for security and to keep the site running. We load fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when the page loads. We do not use this to identify or profile you.
3. How we use your information
- To run the wall: review each idea before it is published, and display approved ideas (and your display name, if you signed it)
- To reply: if you asked for a hand, we use your email to get back to you
- To bring you into SA Rejects: we may send you occasional updates about what we are building. You can opt out at any time
We process your information based on your consent (you chose to submit it) and our legitimate interest in running and securing the project.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever. We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the project:
- Supabase (the single database that stores ideas, private help requests, and email sign-ups)
- Cloudflare (hosting and content delivery)
- Google Fonts (web fonts)
Access to the database is locked down with row-level security, so the public can only ever read what is meant to be public (approved ideas). Email addresses and private help requests stay private. These providers only access what they need to perform their service. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
Your email and ideas may be shared with the wider SA Rejects platform, operated by the same company, to bring you into the community. Your email address is never displayed publicly on the wall.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside South Africa. Where this happens, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest and recognised contractual protections.
6. How long we keep it
- Published ideas remain on the wall until you ask us to remove them or we retire the project
- Email sign-ups are kept while the project is active or until you ask us to delete them or unsubscribe
- Rejected or unpublished submissions are deleted once reviewed, within a reasonable period
We may keep limited information longer where the law requires it or to resolve a dispute.
7. Your rights under POPIA
As a data subject you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- Delete your information, unless we are legally required to keep it
- Object to how we use your information
- Restrict our processing in certain circumstances
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on your consent
- Data portability, to receive your data in a common format
- Complain to the Information Regulator
To exercise any of these rights
Email privacy@sarejects.com. We respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies and tracking
We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across the web. The site uses your browser's local storage only to remember basic state on the page. We do not run third-party analytics that profile you.
9. Children
PROCURE is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
10. Data breaches
If a breach occurs that poses a real risk to you, we will notify affected users and the Information Regulator as required, and take immediate steps to contain it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above will always reflect the current version.
